Ross, Jo, Anna and their wonderful pets Tex and Betsy made my partner and I feel so welcome and at home during our stay at The Stables. We had an idea of what to expect but all pre-existing ideas were exceeded with the beautiful detailing of the accommodation thoughtfully repurposed from its old use and the tour of the farm Ross arranged for us. I've never stayed in an Airbnb with such fine bedding, kitchenware and household appliances, I'd even noted the brand of the knives and brands they had to buy myself. Staying with Ross, Jo & Anna allowed us to truly appreciate the stunning nor-east Tasmanian environment in the depths of winter, and even made us reconsider how we want to live in future! We will absolutely be coming back in summertime!
Thank you Anna, Jo and Ross for your hospitality and tours of your amazing property !! Your passion for your Cape Grim Cattle is exceptional and wish you every success! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the attention to detail of the stables was very personalised and we wished we could have stayed longer. Thanks also to Bruno for the amazing home grown produce that we enjoyed with our dinners. Thank you also to Ross and Jo for their recommendations of places to visit and see during our stay in St Helen’s. We will definitely be returning for a second visit!! Also loved our visits from the extended fur baby family - especially Betty’s smile 😀 Cheers David & Larraine
Exceeded all our expectations. Fresh produce - eggs, bacon, milk, butter and jam in the fridge and fresh lemons and herbs on the bench was a lovely surprise. A set of playing cards, the Webber outside and the fire place all made our stay feel like home. The open bathroom was beautiful and the extra plush Yoli towels are something out of a dream. If you are looking for a retreat to switch off from the real world, this is it. 10/10 Highly recommend.
Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. Ross was so generous with his time (and veggies from the garden),. He provided us with the highight of our trip by taking us out to the river with Tex and Betty for a morning kayak and swim, while getting to see and learn more about the beautiful property. Couldn't recommend this highly enough and we hope to be back sometime soon! Thank you again Anna, Ross and Jo :)
We had an amazing stay at The Stables, Martha Vale Park. I feel lucky to have found this hidden gem in St Helen’s and highly recommend stopping by. Anna was the most generous host and had thought of everything. All the small details made our stay so memorable and we felt so relaxed and at home there during our stay. I also highly recommend (if available) doing the Farm tour, it was one of the highlights of our trip and we loved learning about cattle farming and seeing their beautiful property. We will definitely be back, Thank-you for having us.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at 'The Stables', and it was wonderful. The place is the perfect mix of being private yet welcoming. I particularly enjoyed the farm tour which was a unique experience! Right from the start, I was impressed by the thoughtful touches. There was fresh fruit waiting for me, some of the best coffee I've had, and herbs from the garden to cook with. The decor is gorgeous – it’s so warm and inviting. A lot of love and hard work went into making it feel like a cozy retreat. It was so comfortable too; every little detail made me feel at ease. And getting to learn about the regenerative farm was really interesting. 'The Stables' is a great place to stay; it’s both luxurious and an insight into sustainable farming. I absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway that’s both relaxing and a bit different. Loved it!
AMAZING! !Best Airbnb I have ever stayed in, the Stables were beautiful and the attention to detail was incredible. So luxurious in one of the most beautiful locations. Farm tours with Ross and fresh veggies from the garden all added to our fantastic experience.Great communication from Anna, close proximity to bay of fires and great local recommendations for the area.Would highly recommend staying here and would love to visit again.
The Stables is the perfect place to getaway, relax and rejuvenate yourself at the gateway to larapuna / the Bay of Fires. We had a wonderful stay. Anna, Ross and Jo have thought of everything - from home made soaps and body washes, to fresh berries, herbs and garlic from the garden, to bath bombs for the luxurious bathtub. The bed was extremely comfy and ensured excellent nights' rest. Binalong Bay was less than 15 minutes away and it was so great to have a summer's morning in a world heritage area followed by returning to the comforts of the stables in the afternoon. What a magical spot!
The Stables was an absolute hidden gem! We stayed at 3 different locations for our 1 week Tasmania trip and The Stables was by far our favourite! We were warmly greeted by the doggy welcome party of Tex and Betty and later met lovely Penny. The Stables was very artistically designed: all the way from functions to the luxury yet rustic finish. Jumping into the stone bath after a long day of seeing and doing is just so delightful. Our favourite part of the stay however, has to be the farm tour run by Ross. We spotted an eagle’s nest in the trees with binoculars, kayaked along the river banks and shared a warm mug of coffee with Ross. We learnt so much about sustainable farming and cape grim cattle. Don’t hesitate to book here, we would give it 6 stars if we could! Thank you again Anna, Ross and Jo!
A truly breathtaking stay in all aspects. Felt right at home from the moment we walked in and couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Absolutely did not want to leave and can’t wait to come back!!
