The Stables

The Stables represents the collaborative effort of a father and daughter duo, Ross and Anna Williams. Over a span of three years, we meticulously transformed the century-old stables into a luxurious boutique accommodation on the East Coast of Tasmania. Our vision was simple - create a space for slow contemplation, set within the scenic embrace of the land we hold dear.

Martha Vale Park

Established in 1852, Martha Vale Park is situated along the George River / Meetermer, where the river meets the sea. At the heart of our philosophy lies a deep commitment to regenerative agriculture practices, which guide our every endeavour. Our primary aim is to nurture vibrant, life-sustaining soils.

We are self-sustained farm, growing our own produce, as well as providing Cape Grim Beef. We're passionate about sharing our knowledge and always eager to learn and grow in our regenerative agriculture practices. If you'd like to know more about our farm, please feel free to get in touch.

Farm tours at Martha Vale Park

Join us for a farm tour that gives deeper insight into regenerative farming. This offers a unique opportunity to understand the delicate balance required to maintain healthy ecosystems while supporting sustainable agriculture.

From the wetlands that serve as a sanctuary for endangered species (melaleuca ericifolia) to the methods we use to produce 100% grass-fed Cape Grim Beef, each tour is a journey into the interconnectedness of land, animals, and people. Guests come away with an appreciation not just for the farm’s natural beauty, but for the thoughtful practices that sustain it. Enjoy a cuppa by the awe-inspiring meetermer / George River gorge, learn of our conservation area which is the only place in the world the Davies Wax Flower grows and spot the wedge-tailed eagle's nest from across the river.

For guests, these tours are more than just informative—they offer a unique insight into how conscious choices can shape the future of our food systems.

The palawa people belong to the oldest continuing culture in the world. We acknowledge the palawa people as the continuing custodians of lutruwita / Tasmania. They cared and protected Country for thousands of years. They knew this land, they lived on the land and they died on these lands. We pay our deepest respects to the traditional owners of the Pyemmairrener land on which Martha Vale Park lies.
